Cybinka forest district is regarded as one of the warmest in Poland. It covers the area of 22493 3ha.

History

Current precincts of Cybinka forest district (Białków, Rybaki, Radzionków) have been separate districts (as Rzeczyca which became part of Cybinka forest district in 1978) since 1945. They were founded from former state forests and property forests and peasant forests seized by State Treasury in January 1945. Shifts in administrative structures of those forest districts took place in the 50's and later in 1978. Cybinka forest district has operated in the current shape since January 1996.

Forest district arrangement

Nadleśnictwo jest podstawową, samodzielną jednostką organizacyjną Lasów Państwowych działającą na podstawie ustawy o lasach. Podlega Regionalnej Dyrekcji Lasów Państwowych, która prowadzi nadzór i koordynuje działania na swoim terenie. Nadleśnictwa dzielą się na leśnictwa.

Cooperation

Cybinka Forest District co-operates with Landratsamt Bautzen Kreisforstamt (County Forest Office) from Saxony (Germany). The headquarter of the project partner Landsratsamt Bautzen Kreisforstamt is located in Kamenz. Further information can be found here.
